Trigonias are roughly triangular shells with prominent ridging. The shell is divided by a carina into a steep, finely ridged part and a coarser ridged, gently sloping area. While modern trigonians are now only found in Australian coastal waters up to 400 m deep, their ancestors were found worldwide and in very shallow areas.

Locality: Praia de Santa Cruz, Atlantic coast, Portugal
