Flexicalymene ouzregui - distinct segmentation, nice specimen.
These trilobites are found in concretions. The Bedouins of North Africa sometimes used them as a means of exchange.
Flexicalymene is a leading fossil for the Ordovician and a typical trilobite of Morocco. They occur frequently there and are easy to work with. Flexicalymenes already had the ability to curl up. This protective mechanism was not available to early trilobites.
